About this opportunity
A season-long computer science league for school students, run since 1978; last season over 7,000 students from 21 countries took part. Four online contests between October and May test computer science topics, and the upper divisions add a programming problem in Python, C++ or Java. The Senior division suits high school students with programming experience, and top scorers are invited to online Finals in May.
Who can apply
For K-12 schools, organisations and local groups. Teams are registered by an adult advisor, who can be any teacher, parent or other adult with computer science experience. A team roster holds up to 6 or 10 students.
How to apply
Your advisor registers and pays for the team on the ACSL Registration form by 31 December 2026. Contest #1 opens on 19 October 2026; the four contests run to May 2027, with invitational online Finals on 29 May 2027.
