<p>CODE_EXP is the web development hackathon track of DSTA's annual BrainHack festival, in which teams build web applications that tackle defence-related challenges. Participants go through pre-finals training and qualifiers, and qualifying teams compete in a two-day physical final.</p><ul><li>Eligibility: post-secondary to undergraduate students (JC, Polytechnic, Pre-U, undergraduate); secondary school students are not eligible</li><li>Team size: 3–5 members, with at least two Singapore citizens per team</li><li>Registration for BrainHack 2026: 18 March – 27 April 2026</li><li>Training: 11–14 May; qualifiers: 15–21 May (largely virtual)</li><li>Physical finals: 10–11 June 2026 in Singapore</li><li>No prerequisites — training is provided</li></ul><p>Registration is via the BrainHack 2026 CODE_EXP form on the DSTA BrainHack page.
