<p>The Epigram Books Fiction Prize (EBFP) is a literary award recognising unpublished English-language novels by Southeast Asian writers, launched in 2015 and expanded beyond Singapore in 2020. It is one of the region's most substantial prizes for long-form fiction, with a grand prize of S$25,000.</p> <ul> <li>Open to citizens or permanent residents of Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, aged 18 and above.</li> <li>Submissions must be original, unpublished English-language novel manuscripts of at least 40,000 words.</li> <li>Prizes: Grand Prize S$25,000; three finalists receive S$5,000 each.</li> <li>Closing date for the 2027 edition: 1 August 2026, 11:59 PM.</li> <li>Both an online submission and a hard copy are required for a valid entry.</li> </ul> <p>Submissions are managed through Epigram Books' Submittable portal; full rules are published on epigram.sg.</p>
