About this opportunity
<p>Project Cope is Impart's Mental Health Care arm programme that trains volunteers as Youth Advocates to journey alongside children and youths aged 10 to 21 over six months. Advocates apply Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills to help youths manage intense emotions, communicate effectively, and build healthier relationships.</p><ul><li>Runs annually with intakes beginning in January and July.</li><li>Minimum one-year volunteer commitment (excluding training); about 2 hours per week during the programme.</li><li>Weekly in-person sessions with assigned youths, plus daily brief digital check-ins and compulsory monthly group supervision (every 2nd Tuesday, 8pm – 10pm).</li><li>Training includes compulsory in-house youth-engagement training and external Dialectical Behaviour Therapy training.</li><li>Eligibility: 21 years and above; background in psychology, social work, criminology, counselling, or related fields; S$200 deposit required.</li></ul><p>Interested applicants can register through Impart's volunteer form at tinyurl.com/impartvolreg.</p>
