About this opportunity
Teams write Java code to fly a free-flying robot inside Japan's Kibo module on the International Space Station, first in a simulator and then, for finalists, on the real ISS. The 2026-27 mission asks teams to guide the Int-Ball2 robot through inspection checkpoints to find a suspected air leak. Space Faculty and JAXA run guidance sessions, and the top Singapore team gets to run its program on the ISS.
Who can apply
Teams of 3 to 6 students based in Singapore (or Singaporeans based abroad), aged 15 and above up to graduate level. Each student can join only one team.
How to apply
Register your team on Space Faculty's online form by 14 October 2026 (14:59 Singapore time). The simulator is released in October, the preliminary round is in January 2027, the ISS final run is in April 2027 and the final event is in June 2027.
