<p>The National Economics & Financial Management Challenge (NEFMC) is an annual three-round competition run by the NUS Economics Society for pre-university students, testing university-level economics and financial management reasoning on real-world scenarios. The 2025 edition drew nearly 1,000 participants, with the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a key sponsor.</p><ul><li>Three-round format &mdash; online preliminaries leading to finals held on the NUS campus</li><li>Open to pre-university students from JCs, polytechnics, and international schools in Singapore</li><li>Recent theme (2025): "Economic Resilience in a Divided World"</li><li>NEFMC 2025 partnered with the Australian Economics Olympiad (AAEO)</li><li>Typically runs over two to three months in the first half of the year</li></ul><p>Registration details are published on the NUS Economics Society website when each cycle opens; teams usually sign up through their schools or directly via the Society.</p>
