About this opportunity

<p>The National Junior Cybersecurity Olympiad (NJCO) is an online cybersecurity competition organised by SIMCC in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity R&D Lab (NCL) and the Centre for Nurturing Computing Excellence (CeNCE) — both hosted at the NUS School of Computing. It introduces secondary-level students to foundational cybersecurity concepts through self-paced training and a contest.</p><ul><li>Eligible grades: Secondary 1 to JC 2 (Grades 7 to 12).</li><li>Topics: cryptography, networking fundamentals, red teaming and introduction to CTFs, and digital forensics.</li><li>Training: pre-recorded video modules with practice MCQs, studied at each student's own pace.</li><li>Mode: all online; held in Singapore.</li><li>Awards: medal and certificate, with Distinction, Credit, or Proficiency tiers based on NUS standards.</li></ul><p>Registration is open to Singapore students via the JCO portal. Outstanding results can serve as a pathway to the International Junior Cybersecurity Olympiad (IJCO).</p>
