About this opportunity
<p>The National Schools Literature Festival (NSLF) is Singapore's inter-school literature festival for secondary students, running since 2005. The event brings together students from across the country to celebrate English literature through competitive and performance categories, with backing from the Ministry of Education, the National Institute of Education, the National Arts Council, and the Singapore Book Council.</p>
<ul>
<li>Open to secondary school students enrolled in English Literature; selected categories also open to JC students.</li>
<li>Competition categories include Flash Fiction writing, Book Trailer, Choral Speaking / Reading, Book Parade, and Set-Text Debate.</li>
<li>Participation is arranged through the school's Literature department, with caps on entries per school.</li>
<li>Develops writing, critical thinking, performance, and public-speaking skills alongside exposure to other schools' interpretations of set texts.</li>
</ul>
<p>Students interested in taking part should speak with their Literature teacher about being nominated for a category.</p>
