About this opportunity

<p>The Oxford Scholastica Essay Competition, run by Oxford Scholastica Academy (formerly OxBright), invites students aged 15–18 to write a short essay on the greatest challenge facing their chosen field and how they might help tackle it. The competition is designed to push entrants beyond the school curriculum and into forward-looking academic thinking.</p><ul><li>Open to students worldwide; no prior Oxford Scholastica participation required.</li><li>Entries are submitted online; essays are capped at 3,800 characters (around 500 words) with a separate references list.</li><li>Free to enter.</li><li>Prizes include a place at Oxford Summer School (Most Outstanding Essay), a place on an Online Course or Internship (Best Essay per subject category), and a Certificate of Achievement for Highly Commended entries.</li><li>All shortlisted entrants receive a free place at one of Oxford Scholastica's online conferences.</li></ul><p>Entrants should register their interest on the competition page to be notified of the next intake.</p>
