About this opportunity

<p>The Scholastic Art &amp; Writing Awards, run since 1923 by the Alliance for Young Artists &amp; Writers in partnership with Scholastic Inc., is a long-running recognition programme for creative teens. Students submit original work across art and writing categories, are judged first at a regional level and then nationally, and may earn scholarships, publication and exhibition opportunities.</p><ul><li>Eligibility: students in grades 7–12, aged 13 or older, residing in the United States, U.S. territories, U.S. military bases, or Canada</li><li>Entries open 1 October 2025; regional deadlines run from 1 December 2025 through early January 2026</li><li>Entry fees: US$10 per individual entry, US$30 per portfolio (fee waivers available)</li><li>Regional awards (Gold Key, Silver Key, Honorable Mention) feed into national Gold and Silver Medals</li><li>Top national awardees receive scholarships and are featured in exhibitions and publications</li></ul><p>Entries are submitted online via the Scholastic Awards regional portal.</p>
