<p>The Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO) is the Singapore Mathematical Society's annual national mathematics competition, run in three sections — Junior (Sec 1–2), Senior (Sec 3–4), and Open (JC / pre-university) — with a two-round format. Strong performers are considered for national IMO training and earn Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honourable Mention certificates.</p><ul><li>Junior and Senior Round 1 on 3 June 2026; Open Round 1 on 4 June 2026.</li><li>Round 2 on 27 June 2026 for Junior and Senior; 4 July 2026 for the Open section.</li><li>Round 1: multiple-choice and short questions; top performers progress to Round 2 (3-hour written paper).</li><li>Registration fees apply — S$10 per participant for institutional-member schools (higher for non-member schools).</li><li>School awards (Gold/Silver/Bronze/Commendation) and a Challenge Trophy for the highest-scoring school are also on offer.</li></ul><p>Registration for SMO 2026 is administered by the Singapore Mathematical Society via its SMO registration portal.</p>
