About this opportunity
A free global competition for secondary school students aged 13 to 19 to design a solution to an environmental problem, alone or in a team of up to five. Teams submit an Earth Prize Blueprint that moves from proving the problem exists, to testing a prototype, to an implementation and funding plan and a pitch video. Shortlisted Scholars are matched with a mentor, and seven Regional Winners each receive USD 10,000 to carry out their idea.
Who can apply
Secondary-level students anywhere in the world born between 2007 and 2014 (roughly ages 13 to 19). Not open to tertiary students, so polytechnic and ITE students do not qualify. Individuals or teams of up to five, and teams can mix schools.
How to apply
Sign up individually on The Earth Prize website by 10 January 2027; the team lead then submits the Blueprint through the online portal by 31 January 2027. Scholars are announced on 3 March 2027 and Regional Winners in early May 2027.
