<p>The Think Essay Prize is an annual philosophy essay competition run by the Royal Institute of Philosophy, open to 15–18-year-olds worldwide. Entrants respond to one of six set philosophy questions in a short, non-academic essay aimed at a general readership, modelled on articles in Aeon.</p><ul><li>Open to students aged 15–18 of any nationality</li><li>Single essay of no more than 1,200 words, written in English without AI assistance</li><li>2026 deadline: 23:59 BST on Monday 20 April 2026</li><li>Prompts include free will, limits of knowledge of God, machine consciousness, free speech, science vs religion, and time travel</li><li>Winning entry is published in the <em>Think</em> journal alongside leading philosophers</li><li>Shortlisted entrants receive a year's free subscription to <em>Think</em>, with additional prizes for longlisted essays</li></ul><p>Submit the essay and the required form answers by email to ThinkEssay@royalinstitutephilosophy.org.</p>
