About this opportunity

<p>The Wharton Global High School Investment Competition is a ten-week online investment challenge run by the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Teams of high school students manage a simulated portfolio under the guidance of a teacher advisor, with winners judged on the quality of their investment strategy rather than portfolio returns.</p><ul><li>Open to students in grades 9–12 worldwide; teams of four to six with a teacher advisor</li><li>Trade stocks and ETFs with a simulated $500,000 through the Wharton Investment Simulator</li><li>Registration typically opens late June; team account setup closes mid-September</li><li>Active trading runs roughly late September through early December, followed by semifinals and a global finale at Wharton in Philadelphia</li><li>Free to enter</li></ul><p>Teacher advisors register on the Wharton Global Youth Program website, after which students create team accounts and begin trading.</p>
