<p>The Bebras Challenge is an international competition on computational thinking and informatics for school students aged 7–19, run locally by SIMCC. It is open to all Singapore students from Primary 1 to Secondary 5, ITE and JC / CI, and uses short logic and algorithmic-reasoning tasks rather than requiring any programming.</p><ul><li>Format: 16 multiple-choice tasks, 40 minutes, 2 points per correct answer</li><li>Mode: Singapore schools may sit the challenge online or on paper; private candidates sit a paper-based round</li><li>Scheduling: runs annually in the late-February to early-March window, under SIMCC's contest calendar</li><li>Content emphasises pattern recognition, decomposition, abstraction and algorithmic thinking — broadly applicable beyond computer science</li><li>Awards: certificates and medals for Perfect Scorers / Gold / Silver / Bronze, e-certificates for Honourable Mention and Participation, plus performance reports via the SIMCC Member Development Portal</li></ul><p>Students register via their school or directly on the Bebras Singapore registration portal.</p>
