About this opportunity
<p>Project HomeWorks is Habitat for Humanity Singapore's flagship volunteer programme, launched in 2006. Volunteers rehabilitate homes of vulnerable individuals — typically isolated seniors and low-income families — by decluttering, deep-cleaning, painting and assembling basic furniture so residents can live in safer, more sanitary conditions.</p><ul><li>Sessions run roughly 9.30am–1.30pm, around 4–5 hours of hands-on work.</li><li>Teams of up to five volunteers per home, supervised by a Habitat staff member or HomeWorks Champion.</li><li>Minimum age 15; no prior experience needed — briefing and training provided on the day.</li><li>Common tasks include decluttering, deep cleaning, painting, caulking, and basic furniture assembly. Be ready for some lifting.</li><li>Habitat provides gloves, face masks, T-shirts, cleaning supplies and paint gear; pest control is handled before sessions in affected homes.</li></ul><p>Individual volunteers can sign up via the Project HomeWorks page or join the Habitat Singapore Telegram channel for new opportunities.
