About this opportunity

Teams of up to four students choose one open-ended real-world problem and get a 14-day window to build a mathematical model of it, test the model, and write a full research-style report covering assumptions, analysis and conclusions. Judged internationally by COMAP - this is project work, not a timed exam paper.

Who can apply

Students in high school grades or below, in any country - in Singapore that means secondary, IP and JC students. Teams of up to 4 from the same school, and each team needs a faculty or staff advisor from that school (any subject) who registers it. No limit on teams per school.

How to apply

A teacher or other staff member at your school registers each team of up to four students and pays the USD 100 team fee by credit card on COMAP's contest site before 2pm US Eastern time on 4 November 2026. During the contest window, 4 to 17 November, the team picks one problem and submits its solution report online.
