<p>Methodist Welfare Services (MWS) is the Methodist Church's social service arm in Singapore, running community programmes across five impact areas including eldercare, family services and disability care. Volunteers take on roles that directly serve beneficiaries at MWS centres, including those in Geylang East and Sims Place.</p><ul><li>Seven volunteer experiences span befriending, skills-sharing, creative activities, exercise facilitation, outings, reminiscence activities and home improvement.</li><li>Ad hoc to weekly roles; becoming a befriender at an Active Ageing Centre requires a six-month commitment.</li><li>Onboarding includes a meeting with MWS staff, matching to a suitable centre and a short orientation before serving.</li><li>Optional training sessions cover befriending skills and awareness of beneficiary needs.</li></ul><p>Register interest via the Volunteer page on the MWS website.
