About this opportunity

<p>Museum Hosts (MHs) are volunteers at the National Museum of Singapore who act as ambassadors at the front desk, support museum programmes and festivals, and enhance the visitor experience through meaningful interactions. The role is one of several volunteer tracks at NMS alongside the docent programmes run with Friends of the Museums, Museum Volunteers, Japanese Docents and Mandarin Docents.</p> <ul> <li>Roles include front-desk assistance, programme and festival support, and visitor-experience ambassador duties.</li> <li>All Museum Hosts complete a six-week orientation and training programme before deployment, covering museum operations, galleries and visitor-engagement skills.</li> <li>The programme is open to anyone passionate about Singapore's history and heritage.</li> <li>Recruitment opens periodically — interested volunteers can register interest via the NMS volunteer form.</li> </ul> <p>Register interest via the "Volunteer with us" form on the NMS volunteer page, or email nhb_nm_volunteer@nhb.gov.sg for Museum Host enquiries.</p>
