<p>NOI Singapore is the country's premier algorithmic programming olympiad, organised by NUS School of Computing on behalf of MOE and modelled after the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). Students solve algorithmic programming tasks in C++ or Python 3 across an online preliminary round and an onsite final at NUS.</p> <ul> <li>Eligibility: students at local secondary schools or junior colleges (any nationality), Singapore PRs/citizens studying at an equivalent level overseas, and homeschooled Singapore PRs/citizens</li> <li>Structure: online preliminary contest followed by a 5-hour, 5-task final contest at NUS School of Computing</li> <li>Registration is coordinated by a school teacher representative; schools may enter unlimited contestants in the preliminary</li> <li>Medals awarded at the finals following IOI distributions (~N/12 gold, N/6 silver, N/4 bronze)</li> <li>Top performers are invited into IOI Singapore training and may represent Singapore at the International Olympiad in Informatics</li> </ul> <p>The 2026 edition closed registration on 14 February 2026; the preliminary ran on 21 February and the finals on 14 March.</p>
