About this opportunity

Paid, remote three-month internships on open-source projects, covering programming, data science, documentation, design and more, with an experienced mentor. Outreachy is for people who face under-representation or discrimination in the tech industry where they live, which includes women in tech. Interns receive a USD 7,000 stipend and work 30 hours a week, so it suits students with a long break, such as after A-levels.

Fill out Outreachy's initial application, including essays, during an application period; if accepted, you contribute to an open source project and then submit a final application. Internships start in May and December: initial applications for the December 2026 cohort closed in August 2026 and May 2027 dates are not yet announced, so sign up to the mailing list to be told when applications open.
