<p>The Youth STEM Empowerment Programme (YSEP) is a Science Centre Singapore mentoring programme that guides students to use Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to develop solutions for real-life community problems. Mentees build design thinking, communication, and STEM skills while working on project teams.</p><ul><li>Projects are framed around United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — recent themes included underserved communities (elderly) and water sustainability.</li><li>Students complete the programme in project teams with Science Centre mentors.</li><li>Completers receive the QUESTA (Gold) award and the YSEP certificate jointly administered by Science Centre Singapore and programme sponsors.</li><li>Programme is coordinated via Science Centre Singapore and participating schools.</li></ul><p>Enquiries about applying go to the Programme Coordinator at youth_programme@science.edu.sg.</p>
