<p>SPD (formerly the Society for the Physically Disabled) is a Singapore social service agency that supports persons with disabilities and their caregivers across the life stages. Volunteers extend SPD's reach by befriending clients, supporting programmes and facilitating activities at the organisation's centres and hubs.</p><ul><li>Volunteers must be at least 18 years old; most roles require maturity, patience and a minimum three-month commitment.</li><li>Senior Care Centre-based activities (games, light exercises, singing) at SPD centres in Toa Payoh, Canberra and Melody Spring @ Yishun — typically once a week, weekdays.</li><li>Travel Buddy role for the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) across Tiong Bahru, Bedok, Kembangan, Jurong East, Jurong West and Tampines.</li><li>Activity Facilitator and Sports Facilitator roles at Enabling Services Hubs in Tampines and Punggol, supporting persons with disabilities in programmes such as arts and crafts, board games, and sports like boccia, basketball and bowling.</li><li>Training and orientation are provided for roles involving direct care.</li></ul><p>To sign up or enquire about current openings, contact SPD via the Contact Us form on spd.org.sg.</p>
