<p>Beyond Social Services runs Peer Learning Circles – self-directed peer-learning groups for children and youth from rental housing communities across Singapore. Volunteer tutors support these circles by providing academic resources and learning guidance, rather than formal teaching, creating a safe and supportive space for participants to build confidence, friendships and a love for learning.</p><ul><li>Volunteer roles span running activities, skill- or hobby-sharing, and mentoring youth</li><li>Higher-impact roles (e.g. befriending) carry a commitment of 6 months to 1 year; ad hoc project roles are also available</li><li>A monthly Volunteer Orientation (Tuesday evening or Saturday morning) is highly recommended, and role-specific training is provided on the ground</li><li>Activities are community-based, serving families in rental housing neighbourhoods</li></ul><p>Prospective volunteers indicate their interest by emailing volunteer@beyond.org.sg; Beyond also works with schools on Values-in-Action and Service Learning projects (proposals to mail@beyond.org.sg).</p>
