<p>The Singapore Junior Chemistry Olympiad (SJChO) is a national chemistry competition for Secondary 3-5 students, organised by the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC) in partnership with IMRE, NUS, NTU and SUTD, and supported by the Ministry of Education. Launched in 2010, it is Singapore's largest junior science olympiad.</p><ul><li>Open to full-time Secondary 3, 4 and 5 students in Singapore (plus international students below grade 10 or age 17).</li><li>Round 1: a two-hour online MCQ theory paper on the ClassMarker platform, invigilated by school teachers.</li><li>Round 2: top scorers (typically the top 20%) work through experiment-video analysis questions at a written examination held at NUS.</li><li>Awards include gold, silver, bronze and merit e-certificates, plus banded awards for top-performing schools.</li><li>Registration fee: S$20 per student. Registration is via the school's teacher-in-charge.</li></ul><p>School teachers register participants by emailing the completed form to <strong>sjcho@snic.org.sg</strong>. Dates are released each year and depend on the MOE calendar.</p>
