<p>The Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) offers a volunteer docent programme run in partnership with the Friends of the Museums (FOM) Singapore, an associate member of the World Federation of Friends of Museums. Trained guides lead weekday tours at ACM in English, Japanese, or Mandarin, sharing the Gallery's collection of Asian heritage and artefacts.</p> <ul> <li>Weekday FOM guides (English or Japanese) must first be FOM members. Mandarin reserve-team guides must be aged 21 and above.</li> <li>Training consists of weekly lectures, optional field trips, reading, gallery talk preparation, and a final tour paper.</li> <li>Upon successful completion, certified docents commit to guiding for at least one year.</li> <li>Tours cover multiple galleries — including Tang shipwreck artefacts, trade items, religious culture, Southeast Asian maritime cultures, textiles and Chinese ceramics.</li> </ul> <p>To apply as a weekday English or Japanese guide, email acmcoordinators@gmail.com or visit fom.sg.
