<p>The Peranakan Museum trains volunteer docents to lead guided tours on Peranakan culture, artefacts and history. Guiding is organised through Friends of the Museums (FOM) for weekday English and Japanese tours, Museum Volunteers (MV) for weekend and weekday-evening English tours, and the Mandarin Guides (MG) group.</p><ul><li>Training runs as a series of weekly lectures, optional field trips, assigned reading, gallery-talk preparation and a final tour paper.</li><li>Certified docents commit to guiding tours for at least one year after completing the programme.</li><li>FOM weekday guides must be FOM members; MG guides must be 21 or older.</li><li>Tours cover Peranakan weddings, clothing, ceramics, jewellery, furniture, beadwork, embroidery, batik and religious items.</li></ul><p>For FOM weekday English or Japanese guiding, contact <strong>tpmcoordinators@gmail.com</strong>; for Museum Volunteers, <strong>museumvolsingapore@gmail.com</strong>; for Mandarin Guides, <strong>mgeveryone@gmail.com</strong>.
