<p>The Australian Mathematics Competition is the Australian Maths Trust's longest-running and largest school maths competition, first run in 1978 and taken by students across many countries including Singapore. Participants sit a single 75-minute paper of 30 questions (25 multiple-choice and 5 integer answers), designed to extend problem-solving skills.</p><ul><li>Singapore students compete in Junior (Years 7–8 / Sec 1–2), Intermediate (Years 9–10 / Sec 3–4), or Senior (Years 11–12 / JC 1–2).</li><li>Competition window: Tuesday 4 – Thursday 6 August 2026.</li><li>Delivery is available online or via printed paper; schools select the mode at registration.</li><li>Results are reported on an international percentile scale, with certificates and prize awards by tier.</li><li>Entry fee is AUD $9.30 per student; bundle discounts are available for schools.</li></ul><p>Singapore students register through their school; SIMCC administers AMC locally on behalf of the Australian Maths Trust.</p>
